The National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) has announced the honorees for its 2026 Annual Meeting, which will take place at Lincoln Center‘s Alice Tully Hall in New York on Wednesday, June 10.

P!NK will receive this year’s NMPA Songwriter Icon Award.

Songwriter and producer Julian Bunetta, the co-writer behind Sabrina Carpenter‘s Espresso, Teddy SwimsLose Control, and One Direction‘s Night Changes, will be honored with the Non-Performing Songwriter Icon Award.

Meta President and Vice Chairman Dina Powell McCormick will sit down for a keynote conversation with NMPA President and CEO David Israelite.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. will receive the NMPA‘s Industry Legacy Award.

P!NK – a three-time Grammy Award winner with 10 NMPA Gold & Platinum certifications, according to the NMPA – has built a songwriting catalog that extends beyond her own chart-topping records.

Her credits as a songwriter for other artists include Celine Dion‘s Recovering, Faith Hill‘s If You’re Gonna Fly Away, and two tracks on Cher‘s Closer to the Truth album.

Bunetta, a three-time Grammy nominee, has amassed 41 NMPA Gold & Platinum songwriting certifications, according to the NMPA.

He was nominated for Record of the Year and Album of the Year at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards for his work on Carpenter‘s Short n’ Sweet and its lead single Espresso.

Bunetta signed a global publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing in October 2024.

Powell McCormick was appointed Meta‘s President and Vice Chairman in January 2026.

Prior to joining the tech company, she spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs in senior leadership roles and served as Deputy National Security Advisor during President Donald Trump‘s first administration.

Meta has been increasingly active in the music space in recent months, including commissioning a Luminate study positioning Instagram as a superfan hub for the music industry.

Mason‘s Industry Legacy Award recognizes his work championing songwriters during his tenure as Recording Academy CEO – a role he has held since 2020.

Under his leadership, the Academy introduced the Grammy Award for Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, and expanded the eligibility for songwriters to be honored in the Album of the Year category.

The NMPA‘s Annual Meeting is one of the music publishing industry’s marquee events.

At last year’s edition, Israelite revealed that US music publishing revenue jumped 13.4% to $7 billion in 2024, outpacing the growth rate of recorded music.
